Ronald Kent

Managing Director of Financial & Wholesale Policy, BBA

Ronald is Managing Director of the BBA and is responsible for wholesale and financial policy matters. Ronald leads the BBA’s teams engaging with Wholesale, Investment and International Banks, and Brexit, capital markets, prudential, digital and technology, tax, and financial crime issues. Ronald has held senior positions in leading investment banks, global exchanges, and international public organisations and has been based in the United States, UK, Europe and Asia. He was previously Managing Director with Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley and CEO and Executive Vice President for New York Stock Exchange Euronext London. Ronald’s experience includes responsibility for businesses in both developed and emerging markets, encompassing public and private sector clients, M&A;, investment, risk management, infrastructure, technology, business strategy and firm management. He is SID Board Director and Chair of the Audit Committee and of the Investment Committee for Caucasus Nature Fund, a foundation established by the German government and KfW (‘Kreditanstalt fur Wiederaufbau’). Ronald began his career in New York as a lawyer with Sullivan & Cromwell.

Ronald is a graduate of Oxford University and the University of Chicago. He is married with five children.
