Brian Friedman is one of the most influential experts in globalisation and global mobility. Brian founded both The Institute for Global Mobility and The Forum for Expatriate Management (FEM), the world’s leading networking association for international HR and global mobility professionals.
Brian is a 30 year plus veteran of global mobility. He has worked and lectured in over 40 cities worldwide including throughout Europe, the Americas and Asia Pacific.
Prior to founding The Forum for Expatriate Management, Brian was Chief Executive of EY’s Human Capital practice and assisted many of the world’ s leading corporations design and implement their global mobility and globalisation strategies.
Brian holds a masters degree in economics from Cambridge University. He is also triply qualified as a Fellow of the Institute of Personnel and Development, The Institute of Taxation and the Institute of Chartered Accountants.
Brian pioneered the concept of Human Capital. He is the author of 4 books on HR related subjects including the best-selling “Delivering on the Promise - how to attract, motivate and retain Human Capital".
